I love celebrations. They are about connecting with a special moment. A celebration ceremony can make an ordinary moment memorable. In my family of origin I hosted the holiday dinners, graduations and birthdays. I loved the decorating, putting items around that had meaning for the day or moment that was being honored. At Thanksgiving I had a special bowl that was shaped like a turkey that held the cranberry sauce. We had lace table cloths and plates with roses on them. For graduations I had flowers, the favorite foods of the honored graduate and invited anyone who might be important for them to have there. I planned my own wedding. I decided on an elegant buffet of appetizers and other foods that could be eaten as you walked around the room. I didn’t want people to be sequestered at tables and not be able to co-mingle with each other. There were small tables around the room where people could sit if they wanted. We had an outdoor wedding with my children in attendance. I loved planning it. I am an oncology nurse who worked with dying patients on a daily basis. My goal was to make their transition more peaceful. I believe that my experience in this area enhances my ability to offer the compassion and caring that is so desperately needed at this difficult and often confusing time of life. A meaningful celebration for transition may help to alleviate some of the pain and bring a sense of comfort and peace. My brother died in an accident when I was 20, my daughter was murdered when she was 25. My experience with the death of loved ones allows me to meet your needs with clarity. It is a difficult time when our thoughts are not always able to make difficult decisions about words for funerals or memorials. My ceremonial expertise can help find the words to share the memories of your loved ones and to comfort those who grieve. You and your ceremony are my priority. I am committed to finding the perfect words for you and will work with you until it is planned to your satisfaction.
